Home care done differently

See the Person is a home care service based in South Yorkshire.

See the Person aims to do just that – see you. You will always be at the heart of your service.

Our services are not dictated by bare minimum time-and-tasks, but are led by your choices to build on your strengths, maintain your independence, improve your well being and keep you connected to those people and places that matter most.

Of course, we’ll support you where needed with personal care, meal preparation, medication, getting about more – but that isn’t where we stop.  Your team of experienced care professionals will support you to build and keep your connections to your friends and family, to your local community and the other professional services involved in keeping you safe and well.

What makes us different?

We want to get to know what really matters to you and your family - we’re a team that genuinely sees you as a whole person, not defined by your care needs.

Our Support Coordinators are given more control, and crucially ‘flexible’ time, which means our staff are not under constant pressure to “get in and get out”. We can become actively engaged in working with you to develop your care plan, react to temporary or permanent changes, coordinate other beneficial services, support you to maintain your social connections or just pop round for a cuppa when you’re having a bad day.

That flexibility means that you can utilise your care and support hours in a way that works for you, ensuring you are in control of your service. Don’t feel that you need a full hour of support this morning?  That’s fine, lets save it for another day.  Want to get your own lunch today?  That’s fine, let’s go for a walk in the park instead.  Got family visiting all week?  That’s fine, let’s use all those hours for a trip to the coast next week.

See the Person model ensures your friendly team of staff is consistent and local. We value conversation and compassion as equally as the activities required to keep you safe and well, such as:

  • Personal care

  • Skin, health and oral care

  • Condition-specific support

  • Medication and pain support

  • Nutrition and hydration

  • Social support

  • Shopping and domestic activities

  • Activities of Daily Living

Regardless of the level or type of care and support you need, your service will be tailored to your individual needs and wishes.
